Dr. Vasavi Acharya Bora, Founder Managing Director (IIFPL) has been working in the domain of Early Childhood Education for the past 15 years. After completing her Graduation and P.G. from Delhi University, Dr. Bora returned to her hometown Guwahati, pursued LL.B and simultaneously opened a pre-school by the name Sishubon Preparatory School.
At that time the general awareness about preschool education was not much and there were a few such schools in Guwahati. Sishubon Preparatory School grew up to be a reputed preschool in Guwahati.
In the year 2008 she set up another centre. The experience of running two pre-schools successfully and the joy of being involved with little children for all these years encouraged her to come up with the concept of Tender Petals.
She has been associated with educationists from Regional, National and International domain. She heads the R & D Team of Tender Petals. The R & D and Academic team has been working to bring about innovation in Early Childhood learning experiences so that the little ones grow up to be lifelong happy learners and positive constructive individuals.
She is also an Ex-Trainer of B.VOC in Early Child Developement at TATA INSTITUTE OF SOCIAL SCIENCES (TISS) Guwahati, Assam.
IIFPL provides Franchise of TENDER PETALS, EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATORS TRAINING PROGRAMME and TENDER DAY CARE, an exclusive day care. The Company has its annual events for children named the ~WEAVER BIRDS CARNIVAL (WBC), COLOUR WEAVERS which are inter-school platforms for interaction among children.
Besides her involvement in IIFPL Dr. Vasavi Acharya Bora regularly contributes articles in newspapers like ‘The Assam Tribune’ on various topics and is a blogger. She is also the Managing Trustee of the Debendra Nath Acharya Memorial Trust that had been incorporated in the year 2004. The Trust had successfully completed a project (built a primary school building for the under privileged section) in Guwahati, with aid from Asha for Education, Frankfurt Chapter in the year 2008. It holds the Debendra Nath Acharya Memorial Lecture every year for generating educational and cultural awareness in the society.
Dr. Vasavi is the Founder President of Debendra Nath Acharya Foundation for Children and Women Welfare which was incorporated in 2014. The foundation has been a partner in the annual event Weaver Birds Carnival. The foundation endeavors to take up projects for empowering women and children.
She is the Founder Chairperson of Early Child Development Forum (an initiative of DNA Foundation) ECDF (www.edcforum.org), which is a pioneer initiative of the region and have organized the first ever EARLY CHILDHOOD NATIONAL CONFERENCE in the gateway of North East India, at Guwahati.
Dr. Vasavi Acharya Bora received the ‘Women Leadership Achievement Award’, conferred by World Women Leadership Congress and Awards, at Taj Lands End, Bandra Mumbai on 17th Feb 2016. The World Women Leadership Congress and Awards (www.worldwomenleadershipcongress.org ) hosts the annual World Women Leadership Awards to identify and celebrate the outstanding leadership and achievements demonstrated by Women leaders that are reflected by the distinct innovations and initiatives brought by them in various public, private and philanthropic sectors.
She was conferred ‘The Exceptional Women Of Excellence Award’ by ALL LADIES LEAGUE and WOMEN ECONOMIC FORUM in February 2018, for her contribution in the domain of early childhood education.
She received Kingmaker Leadership Award (2020) in recognition of her Early Child Development Forum (ECDF) initiative, by the Kingmaker Group, National Sahitya Academy, supported by Prakriti Suraksha Parishad and IIEM in January 2020, for her remarkable contribution to the upliftment of the downtrodden people of Assam/ North East India..
Dr. Vasavi Acharya Bora has been working towards excellence in the domain of Early Childhood Education for the past Two decades and has brought a lot of innovation and change in her field of work through R&D and implementation of the same in the centres all across. This award is recognition of her outstanding vision, flair, acumen and her contribution in the domain of Early Childhood education as the Managing Director of IIFPL and her contribution to the society at large.

Mr. Debajit Bora,, a real estate developer by profession has made transition into the domain of education, to enable children get quality education in their early childhood years.
Mr. Debajit Bora is a builder of repute and has many landmark complexes in Guwahati to his credit. He is the Director of Magnum Builders. Presently he is holding the post of Joint Secretary AREIDA (Assam Real Estate and Infrastructure Developers’ Association), Guwahati. Mr. Bora is the Treasurer of Debendra Nath Acharya Memorial Trust and has been involved in social work for the past many years.
He is also involved with many social organizations that work for the welfare of street children, women and the economically weak section of the society.
